Violetta Evgenyevna Afanasieva (born 21 December 1978) is a Russian figure skater.
==Biography==
Born in Moscow, Afanasieva was married on 17 May 2002 to Canadian figure skater, Pete Dack. In September 2006, she and Dack won the first ever "Extreme Ice Skating World Championships" in St. Petersburg, Russia. Together, they are considered one of the world's premier Extreme/Specialty acts.
In fall of 2010, she competed in the second season of the hit reality TV show, ''Battle of the Blades'', where professional figure skaters are partnered with professional hockey players and compete for $100,000 for their chosen charity. Afanasieva, along with her partner P.J. Stock, came in 6th overall and raised $25,000 for ONEXONE.〔http://www.cbc.ca/battle/〕〔http://www.afanasieva-dack.com/cirque2ice.html〕
In 2011, she competed in the third season of Battle of the Blades. Along with her partner Cale Hulse, came in 5th overall and raised $25,000 for The Canadian Cancer Society.
In 2013, she competed in the fourth season of Battle of the Blades. Along with her partner Jason Strudwick, came in second and raised $35,000 for the Humane Society of Kawartha Lakes and Edmonton Inner City Children's program
